Hart, Gary W. Gary W. Hart of Fife Lake and formerly of Flushing, passed away on January 14, 2017 in Traverse City after a yearlong health battle. He was born on March 1, 1950 in Detroit, the son of Fred and Ellen (Howell) Hart.After graduation Gary enlisted in the USMC and was honorably discharged. Gary went to work for General Motors at the V-8 Engine plant in Flint. When he retired in 1999 he moved with wife, Sue and daughter, Susan to Fife Lake near the rest of his family.Gary is survived by his daughters, Deborah (David) Snyder of Kalkaska and Susan Hart of Fife Lake; mother, Ellen Hart of Fife Lake; beloved grandchildren, Jesse and Christopher Sayer and Allison and Dawson Snyder; brother Fred (Karen) Hart of South Boardman; great nephew Domenico Hart who he embraced as his own also.Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue; his father, Fred; and brother, Terry Hart.Many should remember him as having an enormous sense of humor that was only out done by his "Big Heart". His proudest accomplishments were his girls and grandkids.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 19th at 11:00 AM at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until the service. Fr. Norman Dickson S.J. of St. Mary of the Woods will officiate. Memorials may be given to Kalkaska Commission on Aging, Unmet Needs, PO 28, Kalkaska, MI 49646. Phyllis Melvin-Hatfield

To the family of Gary Hart  Although I only knew Gary for a short time  at Flushing High he made a BIG impression on me  always joking and a very caring person  I want to send you my sympathy and condolences on you families loss  I lost my husband last March can't believe it's been 10 months    Wish I could be there but I live in Kentucky  just know I am praying๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ for you all my spirit will be with you  tomorrow  Phyllis Melvin- Hatfield>p>
