David Green

Having worked with Craig Davis at Hatfield Jewelers (his grandparents' business)during my highschool years, I have pretty much remained in the business for the last 38 years. Owned Flushing Valley Jewelers, downtown Flushing.
After marriage and divorce from one of those California girls, I married classmate, Carol Skarbek at Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca in 1979. We should hit our 30th anniversary in a year or two. Have two great, grown kids, have lived all over the US, and am now back "home' in Flushing. I also weigh more than 125 pounds now.

I remember the "grasser" held north of town one night immediately following graduation. I paid someone 5 bucks for a bottle of beer. I couldn't stand the taste, took two sips and tossed the bottle in the field. I later honed my taste for beer at the University of Miami and now wish I had the 20 cents for that bottle I tossed.
